Saybrook

Saybrook - Bentley Homes

The Saybrook project was very unique because it involved the development of a well known parcel where the horses from the Devon Horse show were kept during the show.  Adjoining neighbors were very active during the approval process, and D.L. Howell worked closely with both Bentley Homes and the Municipality to achieve a plan that was sensitive to the natural features of the site while also achieving the desired yield of new lots. D.L. Howell developed dozens of layouts and grading schemes for an area immediately adjacent to the existing stream before selecting the one that minimized grading along the stream bank and maximized the number of existing trees that were preserved.  The project today is one of the most beautiful communities in Chester County.

Quarry Ridge

Ryan Homes - Quarry Ridge

Ryan Homes contracted D.L. Howell to provide permit plan and site analysis services for their Quarry Ridge project, located in Sadsbury Township, Chester County.  As part of our services, we provided a test fit analysis and a matrix of which house models would fit on certain lots; this was then utilized by Ryan’s Sales Team when new homebuyers selected a house model and lot size.  D.L. Howell also provided civil engineering design services that included lot grading, stormwater conveyance and erosion, and sedimentation control design for each new parcel.  After the Quarry Ridge project, D.L. Howell was contracted for several other new Ryan Homes communities in order provide similar services.
